Jacqueline's love of textiles stems from her childhood when she started designing clothes for her barbie-doll. She loved sewing, crocheting and knitting.
As an adult she decided to follow a diploma-course in Textiles and History of Art to deepen her knowledge. She still adds to her skills and techniques by attending workshops.
She loves using cotton and organza because of the versatility of these fabrics. One of the main challenges in her work is to keep experimenting to create different textures and surfaces. Jacqueline loves using and combining unusual materials, but the painting of fabric almost alwasy plays a major part in her highly original work.
